We got to explore Kruger National Park, elephants and lions and leopards and springbok and hyenas, and even a rhinoceros, on our own little safari. One thing we saw was a nearly empty watering hole with an enormous nest in it. I loved the way the sky turned brassy right before the sun went down, the whole sky orange for a couple of minutes before it slipped away.
