A little still life from a bouquet Jay gave me, painted in 2025, daisies and a rose in a glass jar next to a simple bar of soap. It's an ordinary, homey scene, and that's exactly why I love it. Sometimes the gifts that mean the most are the quiet ones on the kitchen counter.
