These are mountain-sized sand dunes in Namibia. They look small on the horizon until you keep driving and driving and realize you're passing dunes the size of mountains. We camped 300 miles from the next spot and watched wild oryx use the cabana shade, then got up at six and hiked one of the dunes, the only thing to do out there, and surveyed the world from the top of all that orange.
