Jay and I spent some wonderful time around Cusco, exploring Machu Picchu and the less-crowded Incan sites nearby. The way the blocks were quarried is fascinating, not always square, sometimes notched to fit the next stone, and yet enormous and intricately fitted. This is the gateway in the field, leading into a series of ruins.
