This is a tall, thin slice of the heavens, painted when we lived on the edge of Tucson where the sky looked so big you could see all kinds of color in the Milky Way. Jay's dad takes a lot of star photography, and in his shots you can see the colors that live in the stars, I loved that, so I wanted to paint one like it.
